This bouquet was made for a "Quinceañera" of a mexican girl.

This is the traditional mexican (and in some other countries of latin america) celebration of a girl's fifteenth birthday. This birthday is commemorated in a special way, since it marks the transition from infancy to young adulthood.

The girl wears a special dress usually in white or pink. She enters to the sound of music, holding her father's hand, while friends and family members offer roses to the father. After that, the girl dances a waltz with all her friends and family members.

After a special lunch, they toast and cut the cake which is usually beautiful and multicolored.

Next follows a ritual where each woman pulls a ribbon with charms attached to their extremities, with the exception of one ribbon which has a ring instead.

The girl then offers 15 candles to those she considers were most influential during her 15 years. This ceremony is also known as the Tree of Life. The 15 candles represent her 15 years of life and each symbolizes a special memory.
